Instructions

  1. Measurements
    1. Length of lower tusk: The measurement is taken along the outside curve in centimetres, to the nearest millimetre. If one tusk is broken, the length of the part that remains is only measured.
    2. Width of lower tusk: The width of the tusk is measured in millimetres at the widest place with a compass. Any abnormal excressences are not measured.
    3. Circumference of grinders (upper tusks): The circumference is measured in centimetres to nearest millimetre at the thickest place. Any abnormal excressences are not measured. Grooves on the grinder will be over-ridden by the tape measure.
  2. Beauty and Penality Points
    1. Award of Beauty Points:
      Of the 5 points that can be awarded for Beauty, 2 will be resered for the lower tusks and 3 for the grinders (upper tusks). The characteristics required for the award of Beauty points for the tusks are as follows:
